The History of Basil

Basil entered his present earthly incarnation in a northern industrial city. He worked in a pizza shop for two years to buy his first electric guitar, a gold-top Gibson Les Paul Deluxe. He studied guitar with Bob Fraser at the University of Akron, playing in theater orchestras and a number of bands before graduating with a degree in music education.

Since moving to Texas in 1988, Basil has played a few more theater productions and composed and performed with a reggae band, Bubblin’ Spring and a spoken-word performance ensemble, Glosso Babel. He began playing with the Eggmen in 1999, and has been having a ball ever since.
